Tracy & Jake’s Harborside Boston Wedding

Part of what makes being a luxury wedding planner so special is getting to meet fantastic couples while also rekindling old connections. Tracy and Jake are from Westford, MA – the same town where I spent my childhood, before Jake ventured off to the south before high school.

They might not have been high school sweethearts, but Tracy and Jake spent EIGHT years together before deciding to take the plunge. They reconnected at the wedding of mutual friends, both of which were also from our hometown. One was even a member of their wedding party!

When Tracy reached out to me to inquire about Marissa Pedone Events’ wedding planning services, I was thrilled. I love when people from the past show up and become part of your life again. It was an absolute blast to plan this wedding with the two of them, and catch up after atleast a decade!

While it was my first time working with Alex Gordias Photography, you would never have guessed. The ease he shows onsite speaks highly to his professionalism and ability to work well with new vendors. We collaborated on the flatlay details, and the results were stunning.

To kick off the morning, Tracy and her squad of bridesmaids are in full swing, gearing up for the day. With hair and makeup artists from Maryelle Artistry in action, they're turning the room into a beauty hub, making sure everyone looks absolutely stunning. And of course, no pre-wedding glam session is complete without popping some champagne! So, they're sipping bubbly, sharing stories, and soaking in the excitement together. Amidst the laughter and lipstick, they're bonding and building up the energy for the unforgettable moments that lie ahead. It's all about celebrating love, friendship, and getting ready to make memories that'll last a lifetime.

In the groom's suite at the Boston Marriott Long Wharf, the atmosphere is full with a mix of excitement and nerves. Amidst banter and laughter, the groom and his groomsmen hustle to don their suits, tie their bowties, and ensure every detail is just right (with a little help from our team!). They share stories, offer words of encouragement, and maybe even sneak in a few last-minute jokes. With each final adjustment, they stand ready to support Jake as he takes this monumental step into matrimony.

The wedding party takes seperate trips in Boston’s darling Old Town Trolleys to Saint Leonard's Church, to ensure that Jake doesn’t try to sneak a peak at Tracy before she walks down the aisle. Both groups having bluetooth speakers bumping, the girls opting to play the ever clever “Going to the Chapel”. While the ceremony landscape is stunning in and of it’s self, Blooms of Boston enhances the space with arrangements of soft pinks, peach and eucalyptus leaves.

Cocktail hour takes place on the terrace of Boston Marriott Long Wharf, boasting stunning ocean views, complete with bistro lighting and lounge seating. When they entered the dinner space, the skylight chandelier glistened with the setting of the sun. Alternating tall and low floral arrangements with varying textures and colors of peach (Pantone’s color of the year.

Mass Rhythm Entertainment got everyone up and out of their seats, napkins swinging to set the scene before the couple's grand entrance kicked off the party, setting the stage for an unforgettable night. One of the highlights for me during a couple's first dance is seeing how, despite a crowd of over 100 people watching them, their focus remains solely on each other. The look on their faces says it all - in that moment, there's no one else in the room but them.

Tracy's father shared anecdotes of her childhood and the journey that led her to Jake. He kept the crowd laughing with a few lighthearted jabs to the groom, putting on a specacult performance. For those who know Tracy, they know that her dad is where she get’s her humor and affect from.

The best man, Jake's friend of over 15 years, brought laughter to the room with his witty remarks and hilarious stories from their teenage adventures together. His speech captured the essence of their friendship and the bond that Jake and Tracy share.

Meanwhile, Tracy's maid of honor, her sister and closest confidante, spoke of their shared memories and the unbreakable sisterhood they've built over the years. Her words were a testament to Tracy's strength, kindness, and the profound impact she has had on everyone around her. Together, these speeches created an atmosphere of love, laughter, and heartfelt connection, making Tracy and Jake's wedding an unforgettable celebration of their love.

When it came time to cut their cake, an elegant 3 tiered cake from The Icing on the Cake, the couple stood side by side, sharing a playful glance before cutting into the elegant cake accented with floral designs. Their laughter echoed throughout the room as they exchanged bites of the first slice, surrounded by the warmth of their loved ones. It was a simple yet meaningful gesture that marked the start of their journey together, filled with moments of joy and togetherness.

One of my favorite trends I’m seeing more and more lately is speeches from the bride and groom. Your guests are here to celebrate YOU; they want to hear from YOU! Whether it’s rehearsed or off the cuff, those who have traveled near and far appreciate the time you take to thank them for coming, and share how their love and support got the two of you to where you are today.

The dancefloor at Tracy & Jake’s wedding was nothing short of electric! From the moment the music started, it was like a magnet pulling guests from their seats. Friends and family of all ages joined in, moving to the beat and letting loose in celebration of love and marriage. The energy was contagious, with laughter and joy filling the air as everyone danced the night away. From classic hits to modern tunes, the DJ kept the momentum going, ensuring there was never a dull moment on the dancefloor. It was a sight to behold – a sea of smiling faces, twirling and grooving under the shimmering lights. As the night came to a close, the packed dancefloor served as a testament to the love and happiness that surrounded Tracy & Jake on their special day.
