Hannah & Chris’ Romantic Wedding at The Boston Public Library

I began working with bride Hannah and her rockstar mom 9 months beofre the big day. Getting married at the Boston Public Library, couple Hannah & Chris knew there was no other planner that would know the space better than Marissa Pedone Events, seeing as I was previously employed as a Producer with The Catered Affair!

From the moment I walked into the hotel that gorgeous (and rainless!) August morning, the vibes were high. Champagne was flowing and the women were laughing and smiling while getting glammed up by the fabulous The Hair Loft and Jackie Vereker. I knew from that moment that this day would be truly magical. While it was my first time working with the lovely and talented Sarah Jayne Photography, I am confident it won’t be my last!

The family gathered outfront of the BPL for formal portraits, but not before they were greeted by their adorable pup Jasper. Let me tell you - he understood the asignment. Tapper as ever in his tuxedo and bowtie collar, this good boy smiled for all the pictures.

When Hannah and her mom stepped foot inside the historical foyer, immediate tears sprung to their eyes; Floristika Studio did an impeccable job of capturing the bride’s vision for her big day. Playing on the library theme, it was all about H&C’s love story. The welcome table even had floral accented card catalogue drawers!

String lights dressed the courtyard, installed by venue partner SociaLight, and lush romantic florals in whites and soft pinks dressed the huppah. During the ceremony, Hannah & Chris shared breathtaking vows infront of their closest family and friends. I consider it an honor and a privilege to witness these moments, and find that they give me such great insight into the couple’s background and relationship. These two have a love for the ages.

Cocktail hour begin with none other than dirty martinis; these two were ready to get the party started! Goodest boy Jasper made yet another appearance, on custom foiled cocktail napkins. This is a classic trend that we don’t ever see getting old. And we are here for it!

The couple had quite the surprise in store for their guests as they enjoyed passed hors deouvres in the courtyard. From the Juliet Balcony, cousin Nick Capodipulo, Ithaca Colleg study and football player, sang a beautiful rendition of Con te Partiro. Fun fact - just the night before he performed the Star Spangled Banner at Yankee Stadium!

This wedding was full of surprises, because what came next truly set the tone for the evening ahead. New York Band Love Revival Orchestra played New Orleans’ inspired music as they led guests upstairs to Bates Hall for dinner. It was such a fun, interactive way to get their loved ones moving, which we of course always appreciate from the planning side! With expert service provided by TCA, guests enjoyed watching the couple’s first dance, and hearing stories from both sets of parents. The toasts continued from the Maid of Honor and Best Man, followed by darling cake cutting.

But didn’t wouldn’t be complete without a champagne tower! What a fabulous way to kick off the dancing portion of the evening; and dance these guests did. From the Horah to That’s Amore, none of the classics were missed.
