Behind the Scenes: Real Weddings, Real Moments

Isabel & Taylor’s Color-Blocked Celebration at Myopia Hunt Club

Wedding Planning & Design by Marissa Pedone Events

A Celebration of Family, Friends & Color

Some weddings feel like a gathering, and others feel like a true reflection of a couple’s heart. Isabel & Taylor’s celebration was the latter. Rooted in family tradition and surrounded by lifelong friends, their wedding was designed to make every guest feel woven into their story.

Their vision centered on one bold, joyful concept: color-blocking. Each guest table was dedicated to a single vibrant hue, from linens to florals to embroidered napkins and custom menu cards. At the center of it all, the head table burst into a rainbow spread, symbolizing the many communities and loved ones Isabel and Taylor brought together that day.

A Venue with Meaning

For Isabel, Myopia Hunt Club wasn’t just a venue, it was home. She grew up spending holidays there with her family, and years later, it became the place where Taylor proposed at sunset. Choosing Myopia for their wedding was both sentimental and symbolic: the perfect backdrop for the start of their marriage.

The setting also came with a signature touch that delighted guests, the Myopia hounds. At the end of the ceremony, they trotted out alongside a rider, charming everyone as they guided guests toward cocktail hour.

Personal Vows & Playful Surprises

The ceremony itself was heartfelt and deeply personal. Isabel and Taylor exchanged vows that revealed the intimate details of their journey, moments that had guests laughing, crying, and cheering.

But it was on the dance floor that their personalities truly shone. The tent pulsed with energy all night, with surprise flash mob performances from the fathers of the couple and impromptu routines from Taylor’s lacrosse friends. It was joyful, lighthearted, and unforgettable, exactly the kind of celebration they had envisioned.

Design That Told a Story

The color-blocked reception design was nothing short of extraordinary. Each table showcased its own tone, soft blue, bright pink, vibrant peach, deep yellow, or fresh green, complete with custom details from napkins to menus. The florals amplified the palette, with lush monochromatic centerpieces that brought each color to life.

The head table, layered with the full spectrum of hues, became the heart of the design. It wasn’t just visually stunning, it symbolized connection, gratitude, and the joining of two families.

Thoughtful Touches Guests Loved

Every detail of Isabel & Taylor’s day was chosen with intention. Guests found handwritten notes from the couple at the escort display, a deeply personal gesture that made each arrival meaningful. Menu cards were not only color-coordinated but also personalized to reflect entrée selections, a thoughtful nod to each guest’s experience.

Even the playful touches carried meaning: custom sticker dispensers with illustrations of their dog and the venue became a favorite keepsake.

A Dance Floor That Never Stopped

Once the music began, the tent transformed into a celebration of pure joy. Isabel & Taylor’s first dance set the tone, and from there, the floor never emptied. Between surprise performances and endless laughter, the night reflected the couple’s spirit perfectly, full of love, gratitude, and unforgettable energy.

For Isabel & Taylor, the wedding wasn’t just about vibrant design, it was about connection. Every choice, from the vows to the escort notes to the head table bursting with color, spoke to their gratitude for the families and friends who shaped their story.

It was a day where beauty and meaning intertwined, and where every guest left feeling the very love Isabel & Taylor wanted to share.
