A Quintessential Coastal Cape Cod Wedding, Wychmere

Andrea & Kyle

Wedding Planning by Marissa Pedone Events

Love on the Cape

When Andrea and Kyle chose Wychmere’s Dune Venue for their Cape Cod wedding, they envisioned a day that reflected the ocean: calm, full of life, and effortlessly timeless.

With more than 150 loved ones gathered along the coast, the celebration felt warm, genuine, and deeply connected. The sound of waves just beyond the dunes and the salt air drifting through the space created a sense of ease that carried through every moment.

A Coastal Palette, Elevated with Ease

Andrea and Kyle’s design drew inspiration from the natural beauty of the Cape. Soft blue hydrangeas, an East Coast signature, anchored the floral story, complemented by crisp whites and neutral tones of linen and driftwood. The palette was clean and serene, echoing the rhythm of the ocean while maintaining an elevated, refined feel.

Every detail worked in harmony with the coastal setting, creating a space that felt fresh, relaxed, and intentionally designed, a reflection of Andrea and Kyle’s easy chemistry and timeless taste.

Personal Details That Made It Theirs

Amid the layered design and thoughtful styling, Andrea and Kyle infused the day with personal touches that felt unmistakably their own.

During her toast, the maid of honor had the entire room laughing when she surprised the couple by cooking and serving hot dogs, -an inside joke turned unforgettable moment.

Andrea’s creative hand was present everywhere: she designed and crafted each piece of signage herself, from the escort display to the welcome sign and table numbers. Her artistry brought a personal warmth to the celebration, weaving their story into every visual detail.

When the Wind Became Part of the Story

The Cape Cod breeze showed up in full force that day. With strong gusts sweeping across the dunes, the MPE team and Fancy Flowers by Meredith worked quickly to adapt the ceremony design. Florals were secured into pedestals, ensuring the setup stayed beautiful and intact as the wind danced through petals and veils alike.

Rather than resist it, Andrea and Kyle leaned in. The movement added life and texture to the ceremony, laughter when a veil caught the air, cheers as they kissed beneath a sky that seemed to move with them.

An Inside Joke Turned Unforgettable Moment

Every celebration has that one moment no one sees coming—and for Andrea and Kyle, it was during the maid of honor’s speech.

Halfway through her toast, she revealed a miniature Oscar Mayer hot dog oven, a playful nod to an inside joke shared with the couple. The crowd erupted, laughter, applause, a few tears, and suddenly, the formal dinner transformed into a moment of pure connection.

It was lighthearted, genuine, and perfectly them. Proof that even in the most elegant settings, the best memories come from the moments that can’t be planned.

Love, Laughter, and an Ocean View

From the first look to the final song played by Hot Mess, the day was filled with energy and emotion. Guests dined beneath candlelight, toasted against the sound of the waves, and filled the dance floor late into the night. The joy in the room was unmistakable, rooted in years of friendship, family, and shared memories.

Andrea and Kyle’s Cape Cod celebration was the perfect blend of elegance and heart. Proof that when thoughtful design meets genuine emotion, the result is a day that feels as timeless as the tide itself.
