Behind the Scenes: Real Weddings, Real Moments

An Elegant Seaside Celebration

Lexi & Joseph,Wequassett Resort & Golf Club

Wedding Planning by Marissa Pedone Events

On a golden June afternoon, Lexi and Joey tied the knot at the stunning Wequassett Resort & Golf Club in Harwich, Massachusetts. With sweeping views of the water, a deeply personal ceremony, and design details that felt equal parts elevated and heartfelt, their wedding day unfolded with such ease and joy—not by chance, but by thoughtful coordination behind the scenes.

As their wedding day planner, my role was to step in with calm leadership and ensure that every moving part aligned effortlessly, so Lexi and Joey could stay fully present, surrounded by the people they love most.

The Morning Flow

While Lexi and her bridesmaids sipped coffee and got glammed up by The Beauty Hive, our team arrived on site to begin orchestrating the day. The florals—soft, romantic, and refined—arrived by mid-morning, followed by the couple’s incredible creative team: Nicole from Coli Michael Photography and the cinematographers from Toast Wedding Films.

From staging the invitation suite for detail shots to cueing the first look by the water, our work behind the scenes ensured the day never felt rushed, even as a dozen vendors and timelines converged.

A Ceremony Framed by Nature

Framed by the water and soft early summer florals designed by Renee vanFestel, Lexi and Joey exchanged vows on the Grand Lawn to the sounds of violin and cello, performed live by Margaret Barbour Music. Their unplugged ceremony was personal and heartfelt—anchored by Juliann Decker, who officiated with warmth and grace.

Guests were welcomed with petal cones, and a ceremony space set with care by our team—who also managed sound checks with Good Times Unlimited to ensure every moment came through clearly.

Cocktail Hour with Personality

After a private moment together post-ceremony, Lexi and Joey joined guests on the Garden Terrace for cocktail hour—featuring an abundant raw bar and passed hors d’oeuvres by Wequassett’s culinary team. One of the most charming touches? A custom sticker machine from Love Dispensed, filled with illustrations that reflected the couple’s story. It was unexpected, playful, and completely them.

Throughout cocktail hour, our team ensured smooth transitions, vendor alignment, and thoughtful placement of pieces like the guest book from After the Tone and signage by Wall to Wall Ink.

Dinner, Dancing & Golden Hour Magic

The evening continued on the Garden Terrace, with each table styled with custom menus, acrylic table numbers, and floral candlelight. Guests welcomed The Fallons with cheers and Madonna’s “Like a Prayer” before the newlyweds shared their first dance to “Weight of Your World” by Chris Stapleton.

Toasts were heartfelt and joyful, and the dinner—served in three elegant courses—showcased Wequassett’s incredible hospitality. Konditor Meister’s cupcakes and a miniature dessert station added sweetness to the celebration, while the DJ kept the dance floor lively long into the night

From bustle support to managing vendor meals and cueing dances, we stayed one step ahead so the newlyweds could savor every moment.

A Note of Gratitude

This day was a beautiful reminder that seamless celebrations are built on trust, communication, and expert collaboration. It was an honor to work alongside this exceptional vendor team and support Lexi and Joey as they stepped into married life surrounded by beauty, love, and ease.
