Some weddings are about grandeur. Others, like Abby and David’s, are about grace—quiet elegance, layered detail, and heartfelt celebration in a setting that felt just right. Held at the iconic Boston Harbor Hotel on a warm June day, their wedding blended understated luxury with modern playfulness, and a deeply personal touch.

Our role focused on full planning advice and design, all the way through until the end of the wedding day execution. It was a joy and an honor to bring the celebration to life with seamless transitions and thoughtful design stewardship. From coordinating vendor arrivals to ensuring every floral stem and signage piece was perfectly placed (and without cellophane wrapping!) we stayed calm behind the scenes so Abby and David could stay present.

Ceremony & First Look

The day began with a private first look on the hotel balcony—joyful, heartfelt, and beautifully captured by Molly Anne Photography. The look on David’s face the first time he saw his wife-to-be is one we won’t soon forget: awe and humor all mixed in one.

Guests gathered in the Wharf Room, where a vibrant and lush full coverage floral arch by Flair Floral framed the ceremony. Soft pastels—blush, lilac, butter yellow, and peach—wove together in a romantic palette that echoed throughout the day.

The couple’s black Lab, Bauer, made a dapper appearance as ring bearer (complete with flower collar). Cocktail napkins nodded to their two cats, Ranger and Scout, and signature drinks featured their names. A new fan favorite, custom sticker dispenser by Love Dispensed brought smiles and adoration to cocktail hour.

Reception Reveal

As guests entered the transformed Wharf Room (have you seen how efficient their team executes this flip?!) layers of texture and light created an elevated yet welcoming environment. Kristen Sardini Designs crafted personalized menu cards featured original watercolors of the venue. She also worked tirelessly with us for months to create an adorable pet-themed bar sign, and custom seating chart. Napkins from Sparrow Lane Rentals added the perfect touch of softness.

DJ Dimitri Soteropoulos set the tone for the evening—from cocktail hour to high-energy dancing. The dance floor stayed packed, marquee club sign and club light sticks included. Curated by Seamless captured real-time moments on behalf of MPE and Dimitri, shared with our couple so that they and their families could enjoy immediately and long after the last dance.

Sweet Ending

Three different cake flavors were served alongside a late-night chef attended cannoli bar, where guests selections were made to order. The night wouldn’t have been complete without passed French fries on the dance floor either. The wedding cake—elegant and clean, adorned with cascading fresh florals—was a standout piece in both design and flavor.

A Seamless & Sentimental Day

It was a true joy to be a calm, steady presence on a day so full of life. Every detail—from the flowing floral installations to the personalized drink accents—was a reflection of Abby and David’s love story: thoughtful, vibrant, and completely their own.
